YouTube's music streaming service
YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was present at Re/code's Code Mobile conference, where she spoke about the upcoming music streaming service from Google. The new service will offer offline playback and other functionality in line with competitor platforms, but will handle videos as well. Unfortunately, Wojcicki failed to shed light on some of the finer details.
YouTube is looking into other ways of making money, including possible paid subscriptions for users to remove advertising from videos. At the conference, Wojcicki also announced that half of the video service's traffic now originates from mobile devices. Are you looking forward to see what YouTube will offer with its new music streaming service?
